Get to Know Me

Ever wish you could meet a stranger on the internet for coffee? Maybe someone you’ve followed online for awhile and you just feel like you’re kindred spirits? Maybe today you could grab a cup of coffee and pretend we’re getting coffee while I tell you a little about my life.

Here are just a few things about me!

  • I recently got married in February 2025 to Jonathan, a long time friend turned romantic interest and eventually turned husband. We started dating in December 2023 and have had the best time figuring out the early stages of marriage.

  • I have an orange cat named Freddy. He’ll be 4 in April and I’ve had him since he was 3 months old!

  • Jonathan, Freddy and I live in Southern Kentucky, about an hour north of Nashville. We are enjoying apartment living but are hoping to move to a house with some land in the next few years.

  • I work as a kindergarten teaching assistant at a public elementary school. I have bounced around jobs trying to find something that is a good fit for me over the last year, but I love my job and plan to have a landing place here.

  • I am a military kid. Both my parents were or are currently in the Air Force.

  • I graduated from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a major in Philosophy and Religion and minors in Sociology and Political Science in 2021.

  • I’m 6’2 which most people don’t realize when they only see my presence online. It’s a fun fact I shared about myself quite frequently when I was doing online college classes during COVID.’

  • I’ve been blogging since I was 16, and I’ll be 26 this summer. Writing has always been a way that I process my thoughts and enjoy sharing about my life.

  • I love summer. It’s my favorite and no one can convince me that it’s not the best season.

  • I have a younger brother, and we’re two and a half years apart.

  • I love doing anything crafty or artsy, even if I’m not the best at it.

  • I enjoy reading but I am one of those people that starts 5 books at the same time and it takes me a million years to finish even one of them.

  • I’ve been trying out a ton of new recipes since Jonathan and I got married, and I feel like I’m a pretty good chef!

  • I very much enjoy photography, and have shot a wedding and several family sessions. I’m trying to get back into it, and I have a few things coming up this year that will enable me to press into my love for it.

  • I have a massive sweet tooth- like, a sweet treat after dinner every single night kind of sweet tooth.

  • Jonathan and I recently got a Breville espresso machine, so we’ve been perfecting the art of coffee the last couple of months.

  • I worked in ministry for a few years after college and I dream about finding my place back in ministry someday.

  • I have been on a sourdough journey the last several months. I enjoy trying different recipes and enjoying yummy bread fresh out of the oven.

  • Three of my closest friends live 3+ hours away from me, so it has been an adjustment post-college to making friends and battling loneliness. I have learned much about the Lord and about finding joy in even the hardest, loneliest moments.

  • I became a Christian when I was 15, and the last 10 years have been filled with so much growth and change in my relationship with the Lord.

  • Most of all, I am still growing into the person God has called me to be. My life is messy, sometimes boring, sometimes really exciting, but at the end of the day, it’s filled with the joy of knowing my Savior and the joy of building a life with my family and friends.

I am so excited to share parts of my life here at Sacred Seasons. I hope you feel like you know the author behind the words a little more, and I’m glad you’re here on the journey with me.

Here’s me when I started blogging!

Until next time,

Xoxo
